UFFP met the designer Mohamed El Madawy called then by his professionnal nickname, Tito or Titus, a couple of years ago in Senegal at the Dakar Fashion Week. We were directing then, another media » New African Woman »Femme Africaine » while directing UFFP as well.
We gave him a great coverage because we were impressed by his great talent and his human kindness and simplicity in a fashion world often considered to be shallow. The photo shoot was done then by our french friend photographer Stéphane Tourné who often collaborates with us, as UFFP is media partner of his Face of the Year Dakar for the second year.
As UFFP is more directed towards ethical design and fashion with a conscience and was born to empower women and youngsters in the Region afte the arab awakening, while being a french media.
Because,Tito was one of a kind so different and unique in his approach, a great designer but also the real expression of freedom and what we wanted to support, we never forgot him.
At that time he was offered a great interview in UFFP which did a real buzz with more then 200 likings…
It’s time for the Arabic World to step out of the box !!!
We never ceased to follow him and support him in the shaddow, after him with the revolution, UFFP did a second Caravan after the one in Burkina Faso, this past may in Paris at the Fairpride, convinced more then ever, that change must come even in the fashion industry for a more ethical way to live, treat and produce. From Cairo he wrote to us one day telling us to advice him, » Paris or New York » without hesitations we told him New York, as we knew his talent would really blossom there.
Here we are again, in a flash interview with the egyptian designer
